Willow Nest Flea Market --June 23rd, 2007

Summertime Celebrations!
Ludmil and I have been flooded with so many good wishes for our Texas adventure and we are so glad to know we are appreciated and loved! We want y'all (that's Texas talk) to know that ALL our planned Willow Nest events will stay on the calendar until we sell our Washougal home and you’ll be the first to know when that happens!

FLEA MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
--------------------------------------------------------------

7 new vendors plus all your old favorites
A restored 19th Century French aviary
A lovely selection of French linens
European men's night shirts (so nice for lazy summer days!)
Wooden French bird cages
Ludmil's garden stakes
Architectural wooden candlesticks (always a favorite!)

I have created some lovely items…dolls adorned with tattered silks ribbons, millinery flowers and beading dating from the late 1800's. My Pearls of Wisdom, Seeds of Change, the fun Chill Pills (for you-know-who), Love potions, Dream Dust and vials filled with Happiness. My very favorite are the wee doll clothes I make out of old paper and fabric that come with handmade wire hangers. These just appeared in the latest Home Companion. I had made them for my friends Wendy and Fred for Lolita. I remembered how much fun it was making them, so I got busy and made a collection that will debut at this Flea Market!

We expect a large turnout for this show so come early. You don't want to miss out on any treasures!

We are moving to Texas! --May 3rd, 2007

Dear Willow Nest Friends,
Ludmil and I have just returned from a trip to Texas and it is there we have decided to move. NO you are not having any techno difficulties...nine years ago when we first visited Fredericksburg I fell in love with the little German town and the beautiful hill country. My Dad had always wanted me to return as that's where he's from. Now after careful consideration we're doing just that! We have so many wonderful friends here and have been so blessed with such a great and loyal following that it won't surprise us in the least if we see many of you at the big antique shows that we’ll be doing in Texas, like Round Top and Canton.
There aren't words to express all we are thankful for in our time here in the Northwest. At the top of the list is your continued appreciation and support of Ludmil and me in whatever we have done. Some of you began with us in our little Gertz Rd. farm house, remember? Then we had our cottage and store in Buxton and finally the old school house in Washougal. Our new adventure is a German barn-styled home in Fredericksburg.

We refuse to say goodbye because we know we’ll be back to visit our friends and our old haunts.
Don't be surprised if the next time you speak with Ludmil, he still has an accent, a Texas accent!
If you or anyone you know is interested in buying our old schoolhouse in Washougal with its breathtaking property and wonderful outbuildings you may contact Carol Murray at Coldwell Banker. Her number is 360-449-4222.

One last thought: The events we’ve planned here will remain on the calendar until our move so now is the time to make that trip to Willow Nest, especially if you haven't been here in the past. We have several new vendors for the June flea market which is always such a favorite! See you all soon!
